Juntos summer students
This summer we are having a diverse group of four students that will look more in depth some of the things that Juntos is doing for the community through working with them or by taking current projects and adapting them into their own projects.
Jennifer Natalie Jurado, upcoming freshman at KU Lawrence is planning to study Architectural Engineering. She will be working on creating her own poster based on best recruitment methods for Latinos in research.
Jamie Pajnsais, upcoming freshman at K-State is undecided on her major. She is interested on working with ADORE which is a Juntos project that focuses on the effect of DHA (omega-3) on premature births.
Celia Cox is an upcoming senior at Blue Valley North. She is interested on studying journalism and also has an interest on health. She is working on looking for research studies that show which recruiting methods are the best for the Latino community.
Marlen Ortiz is a sophomore at the University of Kansas majoring in Secondary Education. She worked with T-SCORE to help bring health issues into the classroom by educating teachers about the different issues happening in their community.
Juan Pablo Ramirez is an upcoming freshman at KU Lawrence and is planning to major in Chemical Engineering. His main job is to work on the Juntos webpage and write blogs about the events happening at Juntos.
