Posted on October 22, 2012From Oct. 9 to Oct. 12, various community-based organizations, health care providers, and volunteers came together at the Mexican Consulate in Kansas City to promote health education initiatives, provide immunizations and medical screenings to people without medical insurance. Posted on May 23, 2012Moving forward with the Ventanilla de Salud Móvil in Kansas, Juntos director Paula Cupertino and Juntos partners were invited to visit Tyson Foods, Inc. in Finney County, Kansas. Dr. Paula Cupertino and Cielo Fernandez from El Centro, Inc. met and had lunch with Tyson Foods’ officials to start planning health outreach activities. This initiative will bring health outreach programs to a workforce that is mostly comprised of Latino immigrants.
