CAN DHA REDUCE EARLY PRETERM BIRTH?
ADORE (Assessment of DHA on Reducing Early Preterm Birth) Trial
WHAT: Almost 5 in 100 births in the US happen early, before 34 weeks. We are trying to understand if women who consume a higher dose of a nutrient called DHA are less likely to deliver their babies very early. All women in this study are given either a low or higher dose of DHA. The lower dose is equivalent to that found in many prenatal vitamins. The participants will not know what dose they are given until the study is over. They will consume 3 daily capsules until birth.
WHO: Women who are between 12 and 20 weeks pregnant who agree to the consumption of study capsules are eligible to participate.
PAY: Participants will be reimbursed up to $100 for time and efforts.
