Diana is 22 years old and comes from Mexico City. Since an early age, she has been interested in the Health Science Careers, something that led her to acquire an AAS Degree from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). She didn’t want to stop there, however. She pursued another degree and has almost finished her Bachelor’s Degre in Nursing at the Autonomous University of the State of Hidalgo; she is now here at JUNTOS completing her year of Social Service in order to finalize here degree. She is currently working on the T-SCORE Project, which aids teachers in developing and implementing different resources and simple exercises in High School in relation to health disparities in the Latino Community here in Kansas. This is to encourage students to follow paths in the Health Careers. As a Nursing Student, she believes that Health Careers are important, and if Latinos choose these kinds of Careers, in the future they will be able to help the Latino population feel more comfortable withing the environment they live in.
